Lidia's

Lidia's is located in the Freight House District in Kansas City, just North of Union Station. You can drive there or walk across the pedestrian bridge from Union Station. Lidia's was the third stop on a progressive Happy Hour with a friend. We ordered wine, Arancini and Polipo at the expansive u-shape bar. It was the first time I had tried octopus, which was surprisingly good. If you're adventurous, it's a must try. The Arancini was good, but they advertise it on social media with a different sauce (that looks delicious). For the Polipo, Arancini and four glasses of wine (two per person), the total would have been $70, but since it was Happy Hour, all of those items were half off, and we spent $35. Happy Hour Stats... Ollie's Local

A covered patio, live music, good food, and some great Happy Hour options aptly describes the Ollie's Local . Located at the corner of 31st and Gillham Road in Martini Corner, Ollie's is a short jaunt from Downtown Kansas City. ambiance at Ollie's Local is a Happy Hour spot I frequent. For the drink specials, yes, but more for the tasty food. My stomach is grumbling as I'm writing this for the Fancy-Pants Tots. The last time I Happy Hour'd at Ollie's, I had the Fancy-Pants Tots, the Hummus and the Stiegel Grapefruit Radler. The Fancy-Pants Tots are sweet and spicy with blue cheese and bacon. The Hummus is whipped and creamy. And the Grapefruit Radler (upgraded to the 20 oz. for free) reminds me of Summer, even as the temperatures cool down. I highly recommend all three. The total cost for my Happy Hour was $18.47 for those three items during Happy Hour. Outside of the 3 - 7 pm Happy Hour, these items would have been $25.47. This is a savings of $7! Happy
